From March through October 2010, qualifying Innovate!100 semi-finalists will participate in Pitch Slams in over 20 technology centers throughout the U.S. and Europe. Applications are now being accepted from startups interested in presenting at Innovate!2010 Pitch Slams in the U.S. this summer and fall.

Innovate! Pitch Slams, which derive their name from poetery slams, are networking events where Innovate!100 semi-finalists receive face-to-face assessments from a panel of expert judges.

In each of the Pitch Slams, Innovate!100 semi-finalists have five minutes each to pitch to an audience of local investors, entrepreneurs, executives and media. The panel judges are selected Innovate!2010 sponsors, partners and serial entrepreneurs who use G/Scores to judge the pitches and provide live feedback.

In preparation for the Pitch Slams, semi-finalists may access free online pitch training to set expectations, and all judges are briefed on the G/Score Methodology. All semi-finalists invited to pitch will receive candid feedback from the judges during the Pitch Slam, as well as their final G/Score analysis.

The G/Scores will be aggregated from all of the Pitch Slams, normalized across markets, stages and segments, and then ranked to determine the Innovate!100. Companies selected as semi-finalists but who cannot attend the Pitch Slam they are invited to will have an opportunity to pitch via conference call or web-cam session.
