As part of our Innovate!2010 competition to identify the world’s top 100 technology startups, we teamed up with the City of Zaragoza to co-host an Innovate!2010 Pitch Slam at the Instituto de Impresa in Madrid last week.
Thirteen startups from the region were selected to participate and each gave a five-minute pitch that was evaluated by the judges using Guidewire Group’s G/Score assessment methodology (check out videos of the pitches here).
In the end, Barcelona-based fonYou Telecom was named the winner of the Madrid Pitch Slam, guaranteeing the mobile telephony company a spot on the Innovate!100 list of top startups. Congratulations to fonYou and these Innovate!100 semi-finalists who are still in the running for a share of over $1 million in sponsored prizes:
